Focus Sessions

Musically guided sessions that encourage you to tune out distractions and focus on your goals.

What is a focus session?

A focus session is time that you set aside to minimize distraction and focus intent-fully on a single, meaningful goal. It's a promise to yourself to spend time on something, to make progress on something, to get something done.

How does it work?

  1. Prior to the session, choose something you want to focus on.
  2. Join the session. Currently, sessions are being held in a meeting.
  3. At the start, we'll briefly acknowledge the goals you have set. (Sharing is optional)
  4. I'll play music for 25 minutes. While the music plays, you'll tune out distractions such as social media and your phone and intent-fully focus on the goal at hand.

What can I do during a focus session?

Almost anything... focus on...

  • Self care: exercise, meditate, etc
  • Work projects and tasks
  • Home care: clean, organize, etc
  • Personal goals: career, relationships, etc
  • That thing that you've been putting off, but need to just get done.

The possibilities are endless.

There's no pressure to complete anything. The simple act of working with focused intent is an accomplishment in and of itself. You'll be surprised how much you are able to accomplish when you set aside time to focus without distraction.
